Scoping trip to Malampaya Sound, the PH Fish Bowl

In March this year, 2 staff members alongside a volunteer visiting from America flew to Palawan to visit and assess the the Malampaya Sound Land and Seascape Protected Area and the local community who manages the protection to see what work is being done, and where CEC can assist, ensuring a community-first, rights based approach to environmental sustainability.

Collaborating with two local hosts from Canyolan Tribe Old Guinlo Minority Association and Ecumenical Development Center for Indigenous People (EDCIP) after a long bus ride, the team visited local government units and the Church in Taytay gathering data and official documents and asking lost of questions.
