Build Power and Resiliency

There is no cut and dried solution to facing disasters, but trusting and relying on the people’s strength and collective will is key to ensuring the preservation of people’s lives and communities. CEC hopes to build and strengthen collective will on the ground through awareness building, community organizing and common action.
Organized strength will be coupled with knowledge and preparedness, as this program aims to install appropriate Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) and Climate Change Adaptation (CCA) mechanisms on the ground and give organizations Education and Training on disaster management. This will raise the awareness of target communities on basic concepts and information relating to the environment and climate change and how this affects their daily life.
